Track & Field athletic events are at the heart of the Olympic games. The events will take place in a new olympic stadium being built at the south end of Olympic Park. There are 46 running, walking, jumping and throwing events.

The Venue for the 2012 Athletics events will be the new purpose built stadium at Stratford, East London
